Dear 5th District Voter,

    =Previous Political Campaigns

Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. I plan to update this site regularly during the campaign. This is my fourth time running for public office [see previous campaign websites at right]. I believe my previous experience shows a perseverance, dedication, and willingness to serve the public through political action and standing for values that contradict the current political debate. Yet I stand firmly upon the revolutionary American principles of free speech, democracy, truth, and citizenship.

Let me tell you, I consider myself a Socialist, although I work with no organized group or Socialist party. I am starting a new political party called the Free Socialist Party. My fundamental belief is that LAND and LABOR are the only legitimate sources of ALL WEALTH. I feel that the political and legal systems have been manipulated to serve and perpetuate the self-interest of those who own money and land. By this policy, a few are made rich but the majority struggle for an existence to earn enough money to provide for the necessities of life such as food, shelter, health care, and education.

Our government and social organization are a by-product of our wasteful economic system which is slavish, materialistic, cruel and immoral. We ought to figure a better way to live, a way that is more responsible to the environment and our fellow human beings.

I favor the economic outlook of the National Greenback Party of the 1870's - 1890's. Read more.

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope to meet you soon.

Respectfully yours, Silver Persinger
