Thank you. |

|
Thank
you to the 903 CITIZENS of the 5th District that voted
for change. Many have asked if I will run again and I have said I am not
sure. I will continue to be a persistant citizen and to speak my mind
on matters of Richmond's local government. I believe in Democracy and
the right of Citizens to control their government. I am starting a blog
to report on the Council's meetings, I hope I can do a good job. www.crownews.com |

| Mr. Jewell's entire campaign contributors' list for the period ending Oct. 15, 2006 included two developers, Jain Associates, LLC ($200) and Carole and Floyd Patterson ($500). Also somewhat related are donations from the Richmond Builers Association Political Action Committee ($250) and a $1000 contribution from the Richmond Realtors' Political Action Committee. Who's in your pocket? I wonder if this Mr. Patterson is the same one he was speaking about at the Monday Oct. 23, 2006 meeting. | ||||||||

| In this latest report, Mr. Jewell lists two more developers as contributors. Ed Eck is a developer who owns many properties along the southern edge of the Fan on Main and Cary Streets. S & S Construction is owned by Larry Shifflett and family -- the same folks who at the September 11, 2006 Richmond City Council meeting attempted to buy the Leigh Street Armory for $200,000 to convert it into ten luxury apartments. At that meeting, Council voted to reject the proposal by a vote of 7 to 2 -- those in favor of the sale were Mr. Hilbert and Mr. Jewell. | ||||||||
